Chubby Frog Hook

There are many suitable hooks for the Chubby Frog, and different conditions often call for different hooks, but we've had customers asking about what hook, "We like to use". In looking for a good frog hook we like a strong 4/0, with two key features: 1) a screw lock style keeper 2) 1/16th oz of weight near the rear of the hook. This system secures the front of the Chubby so it stays in place during the vicious strikes a Chubby is known to produce. We also feel the 1/16th oz weight balances the Chubby perfectly and enhances both the castability and the gurgling sound we like to hear from our Chubby Frogs. We've assembled packages of our preferred hooks to help making selecting a good all-purpose hook easier. These packages contain (5) 4/0 Mustad hooks, featuring the 1/16th oz of weight we prefer, with the screws locks already attached. This set up makes rigging the Chubby Frog very easy.
