Pat’s Hot Head Stonefly Nymph
Pat’s Hot Head Stone is a heavily weighted modern stonefly attractor pattern designed to get deep quickly and trigger aggressive strikes in fast, turbulent water. Built with a bright orange hot bead head for added visibility and lively rubber legs for constant movement, this pattern imitates large stonefly nymphs and other substantial aquatic insects trout feed on throughout the season.
An evolution of the classic Pat’s Rubber Legs style, this fly excels in rivers, freestone streams, tailwaters, and pocket water where trout hold close to the bottom. The hot orange bead helps attract attention while adding weight to reach the strike zone quickly in deeper runs and stronger currents.
