PRODUCT FAQs

What kind of bullets can this helmet actually stop?

This helmet provides strong protection against many serious threats. It can stop high-power rifle rounds like the 7.62x51mm (M80 NATO), 7.62x39mm MSC, and 5.56mm M193. It also meets NIJ IIIA standards, which includes protection from handgun rounds like the 9mm FMJ.

Why is it a big deal that the helmet has no holes?

Many helmets have holes drilled through the shell to attach screws for rails and other gear. These holes can create weak spots in the helmet's armor. The RIFLETECH™ helmet is made as one solid piece with no holes, which means you get strong, consistent protection all around your head.

How do I know the helmet will fit right and be comfortable?

The helmet is designed for all-day comfort. It has a special Zorbium® foam liner system with air channels that help keep you cool. It also has a CAM FIT™ retention system with a BOA® dial that lets you adjust the fit with one hand for a secure and stable feel.

What is the helmet made of?

The helmet's shell is made from a material called Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, or UHMWPE. This material is very strong and provides excellent protection while also being very lightweight.

Is this helmet heavy to wear?

No, it is designed to be lightweight. A complete large-sized helmet weighs about 3.17 lbs (1.44 kg). This is considered light for a helmet that can stop powerful rifle rounds.

Can I add things like night vision or a camera to this helmet?

Yes, the helmet is ready for accessories. It comes with a reverse dovetail rail system on the sides and an NVG shroud on the front. These allow you to easily attach gear like lights, communication headsets, and night vision devices.

Does the helmet only protect from bullets?

While it offers excellent bullet protection, it also protects you from non-ballistic impacts. The helmet meets the ACH Gen II Blunt Impact standard, which means it helps keep you safe from bumps and falls.
