Thyrm Darkvault Critical Gear Case FAQs

What is the difference between the "Blocking" and "Non-Blocking" versions?

The "Blocking" version stops all signals, like GPS and cell signals, from reaching your device. This keeps it secure and untraceable. The "Non-Blocking" version only protects your gear from physical damage like drops and does not block any signals.

Why would I need to block my phone's signal?

Blocking your phone's signal keeps it from being tracked or located by others. It also protects it from being remotely wiped or accessed, which is important for operational security. This lets you go "dark" without having to completely power down your device.

How strong is the case?

The case is made from a tough, crush-resistant polymer that protects your gear from impacts, dust, and weather. It is strong enough to shield items like a tourniquet from being damaged by the elements.

Will my phone fit inside the Darkvault 2.0?

The case is built to fit most smartphones. The maximum space inside is 6.70 inches long, 3.95 inches wide, and 1.13 inches deep. It's always best to measure your phone with its case on to make sure it will fit.

How do I attach this to my gear?

The Darkvault 2.0 comes with a special clip that attaches to MOLLE webbing, which is the strap system found on many tactical backpacks and vests. This allows you to keep the case secure and easy to get to when you need it.
