Titan "Ruby Hive" Damascus Ulu Knife is a handcrafted culinary and game processing tool rooted in the centuries-old Inuit and Alaska Native ulu tradition. Built around a hand-forged multi-pattern Damascus blade and a striking ruby and cobalt honeycomb resin handle, this ulu delivers genuine performance in the kitchen and in the field — and stands as a collector piece in its own right.
Blade — Damascus Steel, Traditional Ulu Profile The blade is hand-forged from a combination of 1095 high-carbon steel and 15N20 nickel alloy steel, folded and hammer-welded across 300+ layers to produce a dual-pattern Damascus surface — bold circular bull's-eye rings across the face of the blade transitioning into flowing wavy lines along the curved cutting edge. The crescent-shaped ulu profile is optimized for the rocking chop motion that makes ulu knives exceptionally efficient for mincing, chopping, and processing fish, game, and vegetables. An integrated thumb ring cutout in the upper blade provides secure control during use. Oil-quenched and tempered to 57–60 HRC for a keen, re-sharpenable working edge.
Handle — Ruby & Cobalt Hexagonal Honeycomb Resin The wide palm-grip handle is cast from a rich ruby red resin embedded with a hand-set hexagonal honeycomb mosaic — individual cells rendered in deep red, cobalt blue, and teal with crisp white cell borders and silver pin accents. The honeycomb pattern is fully three-dimensional within the resin, producing a surface that is visually striking and tactilely secure in the palm. The handle width and ergonomic profile are designed specifically for the ulu's rocking motion, distributing pressure evenly across the hand during extended use.
Sheath — Custom Crescent Hand-Tooled Leather The included sheath is custom shaped to the ulu's crescent blade profile — a two-tone genuine leather construction in cognac tan with a dark espresso accent panel, tooled with a fan and scallop stamped border along the curved edge. Two brass snap closures secure the blade fully within the sheath. Gold saddle thread stitching runs the full perimeter. The sheath is purpose-built for this blade geometry and protects both the Damascus finish and the cutting edge during storage and transport.
