Ready Pack X Vertx FAQs

Can I blend in with this pack?

Yes. This bag is designed to look like a normal backpack instead of a military bag. It does not have large logos or visible straps that might draw attention. This helps you look like a normal person in a crowd while you stay ready for any crisis.

What guns can I fit in the backpack?

The large back pocket is 16.5 inches tall and fits full-size handguns and some small rifles that fold. For example, users have successfully carried a S&W foldable 9mm carbine or a CMMG DISSENT pistol. It is also designed for rapid access from either side so you can reach your tools quickly.

Does it have a laptop sleeve?

Yes. It has a built-in padded sleeve that holds and protects a 15-inch laptop. Some users have found that even a 16-inch MacBook Pro fits without any issues.

Vertx Ready Pack vs Ready Pack X: What is the difference?

The Ready Pack X is an updated version made to celebrate ten years of this icon. It has better built-in pockets for small tools and a softer back for more comfort. It also includes a special strap in the back pocket to keep your handgun holster from moving.

Is it waterproof?

The pack is water-resistant, which means it can handle light rain. The tough fabric is made to resist heavy wear and wet weather. However, the zippers are not waterproof, so you should not leave it in a heavy downpour.

Why is the inside of the bag a light color?

The inside uses light-colored fabric so you can find your gear quickly. It helps you see small items and electronics even when you are in a dark area.

Is the Vertx Ready Pack X 20L Vertx bag comfortable to wear all day?

Yes. The back has a new foam panel that helps air move so you stay cool. It also has padded shoulder straps and a chest strap to help balance the weight of your gear.
